2025 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure – official selling price from RM148,500

BMW Motorrad Malaysia has announced the official selling price for the 2025 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure, available at all authorized dealers nationwide, starting from RM148,500.

The adventure motorcycle was showcased for the first time at the 2025 Malaysia Autoshow held recently.

In terms of power, the R 1300 GS Adventure is powered by a 1,300 cc twin-cylinder boxer engine that produces 145 hp and 149 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed transmission.

It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed exceeding 200 km/h.

The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure features a completely new design, including a redesigned chassis supported by the Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) system.

There are four riding modes available: Rain, Road, Eco, and Enduro, along with the optional Riding Modes Pro for a more personalized performance.

Additionally, the R 1300 GS Adventure is equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Hill Start Control (HSC), Front Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Change Warning, Dynamic Cruise Control (DCC), Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR), and Dynamic Brake Control (DBC).

There is an option to add the Shift Assist Pro functionality for the standard variant, as well as the Automated Shift Assistant for the three other variants (Style GS Trophy, Triple Black, and Option 719).

As standard, the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure comes with a Touring package that adds features such as chrome manifolds, navigation devices, and mounts for aluminum storage boxes.

Other features include a 6.5-inch TFT display, USB charging slots, a 30-liter fuel tank, a top case with a capacity of 37 liters, aluminum side cases with a capacity of 73 liters, and LED lighting.

BMW C400 X, C400 GT updated for 2025, priced from RM47,500

BMW Motorrad Malaysia today launched the 2025 model year BMW C400 X and C400 GT, featuring technical improvements as well as new features, colours, and accessories.

The core of the C400 X and C400 GT remains unchanged, meaning both are still powered by a 350 cc single-cylinder engine capable of producing 34 hp at 7,500 rpm and 35 Nm at 5,750 rpm. It is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that promises smooth and responsive performance.

That being said, both mid-sized premium scooters are now equipped with ABS Pro as standard, ensuring optimum safety even when braking at a lean angle.

Meanwhile, the Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) function linked to the ABS Pro provides sensitive response, as well as high braking and driving stability with the best possible deceleration even when cornering.

Also included are Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR). The former offers even more safety when accelerating at a lean angle or in slippery road conditions, while the latter prevents unstable riding conditions that can occur during coasting or abrupt throttle reduction.

Now, on to connectivity. The C400 X features a 6.5-inch TFT display along with the BMW Motorrad Connected app, allowing the display to be linked to the multi-controller on the left handlebar.

The C400 GT, on the other hand, boasts a 10.25-inch TFT display as part of the Connectivity Pro package, offering split-screen functionality and map navigation.

Both models also come with navigation preparation as an option, allowing riders to easily integrate the BMW Motorrad Connected Ride Navigator or Connected Ride Cradle for enhanced navigation capabilities.

In addition to the equipment, BMW Motorrad has also improved practicality on both models. The C400 X now provides an additional 3 liters of storage under the seat, while the C400 GT offers up to 12 liters of additional storage, including front pockets. The Gran Turismo version is also equipped with a manually adjustable windshield.

A luggage gird is provided as standard on both the X and GT but customers can also opt for a 43.5-litre storage box as an additional accessory, which not only provides 13.5-litres more volume than before but offers a 10 kg payload compared to the previous 5 kg.

The new top case also features electrification, in the form of interior lighting and a USB charging port. Other new features include keyless ride and Headlight Pro on the X.

On top of that, the C400 X is now available in a Rugged variant, featuring a Kalamata metallic matte body colour, red and black seating, red rims, and off-road tyres. This version also comes with footboard inlays, golden front brake calipers and heavily tinted windshield.

The C400 GT, meanwhile, is offered in an Exclusive variant with a Diamond White metallic body, golden rims, seat seam/embroidery in rim colour, floor lighting or footboard inlays, golden front brake calipers and slightly tinted windshield.

The retail price (on the road, with BMW Motorrad Malaysia’s all-new 3-year warranty and 3-year roadside assistance programmes, without insurance) is RM47,500 for the C400 X and RM53,500 for the C400 GT.

BMW R12 vintage cruiser launched in Malaysia – RM123,000

BMW Group Malaysia has further expanded its range of Motorrad models with the launch of the BMW R12, priced at RM123,000.

The motorcycle showcases a vintage-inspired exterior that houses a slew of modern riding technologies.

For the Malaysian market, the R12 is available in Aventurin Red Metallic, further accentuated by lightweight alloy cast wheels, a stainless-steel exhaust system, and a sleek, open shaft drive to complete the look.

The R12 features LED headlight and taillights, combined with Adaptive Headlight Prosystem and Dynamic Brake Lights, ensuring maximum visibility day or night.

At its core lies the heart of the R12 – a 1,170cc water-cooled two-cylinder four-stroke R boxer engine with four valves per cylinder, along with a six-speed gearbox.

The engine is capable of producing 95 hp at 6,500 rpm and 110 Nm at 6,000 rpm, allowing the R12 to achieve a top speed of 200 km/h.

In terms of electronics, the R12 offers a Rock & Roll riding mode, as well as features such as Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), ABS Pro with optimised banking angle, and Gear Shift Assistant Pro.

It also comes standard with a Comfort Package that includes features like Cruise Control, Hillstart Control, Gear Shift Assistant Pro and heated grips, all engineered for long-distance cruising with comfort.

Also included as standard are the Keyless Ride system, a USB charging port, and Connected Ride Control for an intuitive and connected riding experience.

Malaysia Autoshow 2024: BMW CE 02, F 900 GS, R 1300 GS and S 1000 XR launched

Besides the i5 M60 and 520i, BMW Group Malaysia also launched four new motorcycles at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024 held at MAEPS, Serdang.

According to the company, these launches showcase its dedication to setting new benchmarks in the industry, promising thrilling experiences for riders across Malaysia.

BMW CE 02 (RM38,500)

Introduced globally in July of last year, the CE 02 was developed for urban and city environments, with a rugged, practical, and minimalist design.

It is powered by an electric motor on the rear wheel capable of producing 15 hp and 55 Nm, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in three seconds and reach a maximum speed of 95 km/h.

With a 6 kWh battery, the CE 02 offers a range of up to 100 km. Charging the battery is a breeze with the included 900W external charger, ensuring convenient charging at standard household sockets.

It also supports fast charging with a capacity of up to 1,500 W, which takes 1 hour and 40 minutes for a 20%-80% charge or 3 hours and 30 minutes for a full charge.

BMW F 900 GS (RM88,500)

The new BMW F 900 GS unveils an array of innovative features and technologies tailored for the local market. One contributing factor is a weight reduction of 14 kg, bringing the current total weight to only 219 kg.

The displacement of its parallel-twin engine has also been increased from 853 cc to 895 cc. It generates 105 hp at 8,500 rpm and 93 Nm at 6,750 rpm, enough to allow the the F 900 GS to accelerate to a top speed of over 200 km/h.

The bike is fitted with the Enduro Pro Package, which includes a fully adjustable titanium nitride-coated upside-down telescopic forks, fully adjustable central spring strut, sport frame, black handlebar, handlebar riser, as well as an M-Endurance chain.

There is also a range of practical and rider-friendly amenities, including an engine guard, hand protectors and adjustable foot brake and gear levers.

BMW R 1300 GS (RM138,500)

The new R 1300 GS redefines expectations for the local market as it unveils a significant improvement to its product substance and vehicle makeup.

Its two-cylinder boxer engine is now more compact and has a displacement of precisely 1,300 cc. It is capable of producing 145 hp at 7,750 rpm and 149 Nm at 6,500 rpm, making it the most powerful BMW boxer engine ever produced in series.

The R 1300 GS boasts an entirely new design that results to an impressive weight reduction of 12 kg, with a total weight of just 237 kg. This lightweight construction is paired with the Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) that adjusts both front and rear damping, along with the spring rate, based on selected riding modes, road conditions, and manoeuvres.

Other features include four riding modes (Rain, Road, Eco, and Enduro), a 6.5-inch color TFT screen, ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Keyless Ride, and more.

BMW S 1000 XR (RM129,500)

Introducing a refreshed look, the new S 1000 XR is the epitome of long-distance capability fused with high-performance dynamics in an adventure sports motorcycle.

The front view of the adventure sports motorcycle maintains its dynamic streamline silhouette, matched with LED turn indicators, headlights with adaptive cornering lights, LED auxiliary lights and Headlight Pro DRL.

Pannier holders, toll card compartment, under-seat storage space, and gizmos such as Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Dynamic Pro riding modes, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), and DTC Wheelie are also included.

With a 999 cc inline-four engine producing 170 hp at 11,000 rpm and 114 Nm at 9,250 rpm, the S 1000 XR is said to be capable of reaching a maximum speed of 250 km/h.

BMW R18 Roctane launched in Malaysia – RM160,000 est.

BMW Motorrad Malaysia has introduced the new BMW R18 Roctane at the BMW Premium Selection (BPS) showcase that took place at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium early this month.

As the fifth edition to the R18 family, the Roctane comes in as a fresh combination of time-honoured design elements with updated contemporary riding technology, culminating to provide a uniquely stylish touring experience.

Drawing inspiration from the legendary R5, the R18 Roctane is built upon a double-loop tubular steel frame, a hallmark of BMW Motorrad’s design tradition. Akin to the the R5, the rear swinging arm envelops the rear axle drive in a timeless fashion.

It also boasts well-balanced ergonomics with the presence of a ‘mid-mounted foot peg’ configuration and a two-level seat, as well as updated running boards, gearshift paddle, and high handlebars coated in sleek black.

The R18 Roctane is available Mineral Grey Metallic as well as Manhattan Metallic Matt – two distinct colourways that celebrate its rebellious character.

At the heart of the motorcycle sits the traditional air-cooled two-cylinder four-stroke boxer engine, the largest boxer engine of the Heritage line-up. With a capacity of 1,802 cc, it delivers 91 hp at 4,750 rpm and 150 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful two-cylinder boxer engine ever produced by BMW Motorrad.

Riding assistance features come in the form of Automatic Stability Control (ASC), along with three standard riding modes – Rock, Roll and Rain.

Optional features include the new Adaptive Headlight, Hill Start Control, Headlight Pro, Reverse Gear Aid, Daytime Riding Light, Cruise Control, and fuel filler cap lockable.

The estimated pricing for the R18 Roctane is RM160,000.
