Elevate your Suzuki Jimny with a Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series style body kit

The Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series is one of the enduring vehicles from the 1980s that continues to be produced today.

The reason is simple: even in its standard specifications, it is tough and capable of conquering any terrain.

While there are not many places left on Earth that still offer the Land Cruiser 70 Series, if you are looking for something similar, this is your answer.

The 70YO.70 body kit, developed by Japanese experts Jimmy Land in collaboration with tuning garage Ill, brings a mini version of the Land Cruiser 70 Series.

A Mini Version of the Land Cruiser 70 Series

Unlike the typical body kits seen for the Jimny, this modification styled after the 70 Series is much more comprehensive, particularly at the front.

Some notable changes include:

  • A thicker hood structure
  • A 70YO.70 badge that resembles TOYOTA from a distance
  • Round LED headlights
  • Turn signal lights
  • A distinctive grille

Additionally, several extra touches have been added to this Jimny to enhance the Land Cruiser 70 Series image, such as:

  • Side air vents
  • Faux grille at the rear
  • Decorative AdBlue cover (even though the Jimny actually still uses a petrol engine!)

Based on the provided images, this body kit also appears to be well-suited for the five-door version of the Jimny.

Extra Accessories

In addition to the features mentioned above, Jimny owners can pair the 70YO.70 body kit with off-road accessories.

These options include snorkels, alloy rims fitted with all-terrain tires, and an upgraded suspension system for increased height.

Engine Specifications Remain Standard

Despite the Land Cruiser 70 Series styling changes, the Jimny retains its standard 1.5L inline four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, producing 101 hp.

It definitely lacks the power of the Land Cruiser with its 2.8-liter turbo diesel engine.

Power is transmitted to all wheels through either a manual or automatic transmission, both compatible with a 4WD system.

Ready-Made Versions Priced at RM106,000

It has been reported that a few ready-made units have already begun to sell in the Japanese market, available in Sand Beige, White, and Black colors.

The retail price for this particular Beige Jimny is listed at ¥4,250,000 (about RM106,154).

AMI-Suzuki launches road safety campaign for 2026 Chinese New Year

Suzuki Malaysia in collaboration with AFY Mobility Industries (AMI) is organizing the AMI-Suzuki Safety Campaign 2026 in conjunction with the Chinese New Year 2026 (CNY 2026).

The campaign was officially launched by Datuk Jazmanie Shafawi, the Deputy Director-General (Planning and Operations) of the Road Transport Department (JPJ).

Also present at the event were Ahmad Faez Yahaya, the Executive Chairman of AFY Mobility Industries, and Datuk Wee Hong, Chairman of the Motorcycle and Scooter Dealers Association of Malaysia (MMSDA).

Safety Begins With Us

In his speech, Datuk Jazmanie shared concerning statistics, especially among the youth.

He stated that more than 80 percent of accident cases involve motorcyclists, with nearly 50 percent of these cases consisting of individuals aged 16-25.

Datuk Jazmanie emphasized that despite various initiatives implemented by the government, the aspects of awareness and individual responsibility remain the most crucial factors.

This aligns with this year’s theme: “Safety Begins With Us.”

According to Ahmad Faez, it is the responsibility of Suzuki Malaysia as a manufacturer, assembler, and distributor to ensure that every product prioritizes safety.

He further explained that each Suzuki, AFAZ, and Moda product under the AMI Group is now equipped with brighter LED lighting systems to enhance visibility and reduce accident risks.

This commitment is the foundation of the campaign, which offers free 16-point safety inspections to the public.

Distribution of 200 Helmets and Safety Jackets

With the support of AEON Credit Malaysia and Tokio Marine Insurance, nearly 200 helmets and 200 safety jackets have been distributed to participants who have undergone motorcycle safety inspections.

Additionally, 30 helmets were distributed to children aged four to six from Klang as part of an effort to foster awareness from an early age.

2026 Suzuki GSX-R1000R M6: celebrating the 40th anniversary of the GSX-R legacy

Suzuki Motor Corporation has announced significant changes to the GSX-R1000R model in conjunction with the 40th anniversary of the iconic GSX-R series.

Since the introduction of the first-generation GSX-R750 in 1985, the series has surpassed a production total of 1.2 million units.

It has also garnered numerous championship titles in the FIM Endurance World Championship, Superbike World Championship, and the All-Japan Road Race Championship.

What’s new in the latest GSX-R1000R?

1. Engine

The Suzuki GSX-R1000R retains the same 999 cc inline four-cylinder engine found in previous models. However, several internal components have been upgraded, including the cylinder head, fuel injection unit, camshaft, valves, pistons, and crankshaft.

These enhancements have been made to ensure the engine complies with the stricter Euro5+ emissions and noise standards. Despite these constraints, the GSX-R1000R can still deliver a power output of 195 PS at 13,200 rpm and torque of 110 Nm at 11,000 rpm.

2. Chassis

The motorcycle continues to feature a lightweight and compact twin-spar aluminum frame. However, it now comes equipped with carbon fiber winglets, similar to those used on the Team Suzuki CN Challenge race bike at the 2024 Suzuka 8 Hour Race.

These components are designed to generate downforce to prevent the front wheel from lifting when exiting corners, ensuring smoother acceleration.

3. Electronic Systems

The Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) includes several functions, such as:

  • Motion Track Traction Control
  • Anti-lift Control (for the front wheel)
  • Roll Torque Control
  • Launch Control

These features are intended to ensure smoother and more controlled acceleration.

Additionally, the motorcycle includes a two-way quick shifter and the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) for riding mode selection.

4. 40th Anniversary Color Schemes

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the GSX-R series, three color schemes are available:

  • Pearl Vigor Blue/Pearl Tech White
  • Candy Daring Red/Pearl Tech White
  • Pearl Ignite Yellow/Metallic Mat Stellar Blue

Graphics featuring the 40th anniversary logo will be displayed on the side panels and fuel tank, while the GSX-R logo is featured on the seat and exhaust muffler.

Suzuki launches two neo-retro bikes: GSX-8T and GSX-8TT

Suzuki Motor Corporation has announced the arrival of two new neo-retro motorcycle models in the 800 cc class, namely the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT, for the global market.

Although both models utilize the more modern GSX-8 platform, they can be distinguished through their styling, where the GSX-8T draws inspiration from the classic T500 motorcycle.

It features a round LED headlight housing, a uniquely designed fuel tank and seat, as well as handlebars complete with end-mounted mirrors.

Meanwhile, the more muscular design of the GSX-8TT takes its inspiration from machines of that era, such as the Yoshimura GS1000.

The GSX-8TT retains the same headlight housing as the GSX-8T model; however, this section is refined with angular fairings, followed by a radiator guard and an engine under-cowl.

In terms of power, both the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT are powered by the same 776 cc parallel-twin engine found in any of the GSX-8 models, delivering 80 hp at 8,500 rpm and 77 Nm of torque at 6,800 rpm.

Additionally, they are equipped with a cross balancer component designed to reduce vibrations.

Both motorcycles feature a steel frame and an aluminum swingarm, KYB upside-down front forks, KYB rear shock absorbers, and a Nissin braking system consisting of dual 310 mm rotors at the front and a single 240 mm rotor at the rear.

The fuel tank has a capacity of 16.5 liters, while the seat height is as low as 810 mm (815 mm for the GSX-8T model).

As standard, the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT come equipped with electronic aids such as a bidirectional quickshifter, Suzuki Easy Start, traction control, Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), and Low RPM Assist.

Suzuki S-Presso now features a Jimny-inspired body kit

At first glance, the front design resembles that of the Suzuki Jimny, but don’t be fooled by this well-executed work.

This model, which looks like a Jimny, is actually the Suzuki S-Presso, a segment A crossover produced by Maruti Suzuki for markets such as Africa, Southeast Asia, India, and the Middle East.

The body kit, inspired by the off-road SUV Jimny, has been designed by the Indonesian company GH Style.

The most notable changes are at the front, where it features a new structure complete with round headlights, a rectangular grille, and a redesigned bumper that houses the fog lamp housings.

Additionally, the S-Presso is equipped with wider fender flares, followed by a rear spoiler and a redesigned rear bumper.

Lastly, all four corners of the wheel arches are adorned with new white rims.

In terms of power, the Suzuki S-Presso is equipped with a 998 cc three-cylinder inline engine that produces 67 hp and 90 Nm of torque.

While this may seem underpowered, it is more than sufficient to make the 730 kg S-Presso agile on urban roads.

2025 Suzuki SV650 officially launched in Malaysia – priced at RM29,900

Suzuki Malaysia has recently launched the iconic 2025 SV650 for the local market, with a selling price of RM29,900.

The power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a chain drive and a six-speed transmission.

The SV650 is equipped with a telescopic fork at the front, followed by a single shock absorber at the rear.

The braking system consists of dual rotors at the front and a single rotor at the rear, aided by an ABS system.

This Suzuki Jimny 6×4 can be a unique alternative to the Mercedes-AMG G63 6×6

This isn’t a computer-generated image; it’s a real, six-wheeled Suzuki Jimny project available for purchase as a unique addition to a personal collection.

The Suzuki Jimny 6×4 started as a three-door 2019 Jimny, imported directly from Japan.

The idea to create an alternative to the AMG G63 6×6 came about after the original owner saw a computer-generated image online.

Mocho Fabrication, a small shop in Broadway, England, was tasked with transforming the three-door Jimny into a head-turning, six-wheeled head turner.

Using original components from Suzuki, the builders successfully added custom panels to the rear, including a third axle and a pair of fender flares to match the original Jimny styling.

The entire exterior of this Jimny 6×4 is coated in Nardo Grey.

Inside, the workshop fitted a two-tone black/light gray trim to the seats and door panels, along with a Kenwood infotainment system.

According to the eBay listing, this Jimny 6×4 has only 11,075 km on the odometer, making it appear as pristine as if it had just left the showroom.

Unfortunately, this formidable-looking Jimny still relies on a naturally aspirated (NA) 1.5-liter engine producing 103 hp and 134 Nm of torque.

It retains the original four-wheel drive (4WD) system, paired with an automatic gearbox.

However, the owner plans to offer a Garrett turbo upgrade kit, including a manifold and intercooler, which could increase horsepower to 170 hp and 270 Nm.

Looking for an SUV alternative to the AMG G63 6×6?

The asking price starts from £45,000 (RM213,211). It’s a significantly cheaper option if you want a very stylish 6×6 SUV on the road.

Waiting time for the newly launched Jimny Nomade in Japan now hits 3.5 years!

The Suzuki Jimny Nomade, or more precisely, the more practical 5-door Jimny, has just been officially launched for the Japanese market.

However, within just four days, the demand has been overwhelming, with 50,000 orders already recorded.

This situation has forced Suzuki Japan to temporarily close the order books for this model.

In a message posted on the official website, Suzuki apologized for the inconvenience faced by customers wishing to order the Suzuki Jimny Nomade.

“The (Suzuki) Jimny Nomade has received a very positive response, and we have received orders that far exceed the production capacity.”

“As a result, we will temporarily close the order books and will update when orders can be reopened, taking into account future production circumstances.”

The high popularity among Japanese buyers is due to the 5-door Jimny’s offering, which is significantly more practical.

The addition of two extra passenger doors and a longer wheelbase creates a more spacious cabin, which is beneficial for family activities, unlike the Jimny (kei car) and Jimny Sierra, without compromising the off-road driving advantages that are synonymous with the Jimny name.

It is worth noting that, unlike the 3-door Suzuki Jimny produced in Japan, the Suzuki Jimny 5-door (including units that have already arrived in Malaysia) is built at the Gurugram factory located in India.

With production limited to 1,200 units for the Japanese market, the wait time now reaches up to three and a half years!

The first deliveries of the Suzuki Jimny Nomade in Japan will take place on April 3.

Due to the extremely encouraging demand, Suzuki has also had to cancel all planned exhibition events for the Suzuki Nomade in Japan.

Suzuki Jimny Nomade lands in Japan, imported from India, priced from RM76k

Suzuki has officially launched a more practical five-door off-road SUV variant of the Jimny, known as the Jimny Nomade for the Japanese market.

Compared to the three-door Jimny Sierra still available there, the Jimny Nomade measures 3,890 mm in length, making it 340 mm longer, and resulting in a wheelbase of 2,590 mm.

The benefits? More spacious rear passenger seating, as well as increased cargo capacity, making it more practical.

The Jimny Nomade can be distinguished by its honeycomb grille structure with a Gun Metallic finish, as well as new color options including Sizzling Red Metallic and Celestial Blue Pearl Metallic.

In terms of power, the Suzuki Jimny Nomade retains the 1.5-liter engine that produces 103 hp and 134 Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

Additionally, the Jimny Nomade comes standard with a part-time four-wheel drive (4WD) system and maintains a 36-degree approach angle and a 47-degree departure angle.

In Japan, Suzuki sells the Jimny Nomade starting at ¥2,651,000 (approximately RM75,643).

For reference, the Suzuki Jimny Nomade is a completely imported unit from the Gurugram assembly plant in India, unlike the Jimny Sierra (3-door variant) which is assembled in Japan.
