Kia Sales Malaysia opens centralised parts warehouse in Shah Alam

Kia Sales Malaysia (KSM) continues to strengthen its aftersales operations with the opening of a centralised parts warehouse in Shah Alam.

The facility enhances parts availability and nationwide support for Kia owners.

Near-Complete Parts Availability

Located at One Logistics Hub in Shah Alam, the centralised warehouse spans approximately 20,000 sq ft and is supported by nine dedicated staff.

Recent parts shipments have enabled KSM to achieve near-complete parts availability for both current and previous-generation models.

This includes the Picanto, Cerato, Forte, Stinger, Seltos, Optima, EV6, EV9, as well as multiple generations of the Carnival, Sorento and Sportage.

The warehouse is supported by a more efficient ordering and inventory system, covering dealer orders, quality control and final dispatch.

Guided by global Kia standards, the facility targets same-day delivery within the Klang Valley and shorter processing times for other regions.

With improved processes and multi-stage checks, the warehouse has achieved a 100% parts delivery accuracy rate since operations began.

Working With Dealers

KSM is also collaborating with its dealer network to strengthen inventory management and ensure timely stock replenishment.

Dealer teams have undergone training to ensure consistent processes and workflows.

The integrated system allows KSM to monitor dealer inventory levels and support replenishment based on real-time needs.

These efforts aim to create a smoother, end-to-end parts supply chain.

Strengthening the Aftersales Ecosystem

The warehouse operation forms part of KSM’s broader initiative to build a robust aftersales ecosystem.

Other efforts include an average 15% reduction in prices for nearly all Kia Genuine Parts, announced earlier in 2026.

Kia has also introduced the more flexible Kia Maintenance Plan (KMP), a prepaid service package.

The 5-year plan covers major scheduled maintenance items (engine oil, oil filter, cabin air filter, brake fluid and spark plugs), multi-point inspections and service costs.

KMP pricing is as follows:

  • Sportage 1.6T – RM2,980
  • Carnival 2.2D – RM3,580
  • Sportage 2.0 – RM3,680

Customers may opt for the KMP within 11 months of vehicle registration, provided the vehicle has not yet reached its first lubricant replacement interval.
