2025 TASKL to showcase Liberty Walk’s Ferrari F40 and Super Silhouette ER34!

This year’s 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur (TASKL 2025) will be highlighted by the presence of two iconic vehicles from Japan.

The featured models are the Ferrari F40 and the Super Silhouette ER34, built by Liberty Walk.

Visitors to TASKL 2025 will also have the opportunity to purchase exclusive merchandise and meet Wataru Kato, the founder and owner of Liberty Walk, at their booth.

Ferrari F40

The Ferrari F40 by Liberty Walk was unveiled to the public in 2023, showcasing a wider body kit and a chassis that sits closer to the ground.

It is said that this F40 has been removed from Ferrari’s official listings due to excessive modifications that stray from Ferrari’s original design philosophy.

Despite the more aggressive body kit, the Ferrari F40 retains its 2.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, producing 471 hp and 578 Nm of torque.

The wide body kit created by Liberty Walk includes a front cowl, front diffuser, side diffusers, fender flares, rear diffuser, and a rear wing, all of which enhance its aggressive appearance and improve aerodynamics.

The original Rosso Corsa Red color of this F40 has been replaced with a white wrap and red circular accents reminiscent of the Mitsubishi A6M Zero fighter jet from World War II.

Super Silhouette ER34

The Super Silhouette ER34 made a splash at the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon.

It is based on the racing machine Skyline Super Silhouette KDR30, driven by Masahiro Hasemi during the Super Silhouette Formula races in 1982 and 1983.

The iconic red and black livery has become highly sought after by diecast model collectors.

The original RB25DET NEO engine of the ER34 has been replaced with an L28 engine, which has been upgraded to 3.1 liters and fitted with three 50 mm twin-draft Solex carburetors.

The full body kit designed by Liberty Walk for the ER34 consists of a front bumper, wide fenders, side skirts, a rear bumper, a rear diffuser, and an aggressive rear wing.

Each of the four wheel arches is adorned with 18-inch Yokohama Advan Racing GT wheels.

TASKL 2025 will take place from August 8-10 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

2024 TASKL: Subaru BRZ and WRX debut with Songket and Bunga Raya motifs

TC Subaru Sdn Bhd, the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in Malaysia, is set to enliven the Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur 2024 by showcasing two vehicle models adorned with special liveries inspired by local design elements.

The unique liveries applied to the Subaru BRZ and WRX were created by Motorsport Playground, drawing inspiration from a blend of Japanese engineering culture and Malaysian heritage elements, such as Songket patterns and Bunga Raya motifs that replace traditional Sakura flowers.

It is noteworthy that Subaru previously participated in a time attack challenge at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit using standard factory-spec Subaru BRZ and WRX vehicles.

Leveraging the expertise of TD Racing, both cars underwent necessary preparations, including basic alignments and oil checks, before attempting the time attack.

Driven by professional racer Freddie Ang, the manual transmission Subaru BRZ recorded a time of 02:42.211, while the Subaru WRX with CVT completed the lap in approximately 02:43.472.

TC Subaru is also collaborating with local clothing brand Pestle & Mortar Clothing (PMC) to offer an exclusive streetwear collection available for purchase at TASKL 2024, taking place from November 8 to 10 at the Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition
Centre (MITEC).
