2026 Honda CB650R and CBR650R E-Clutch receive new colours; prices start from RM47,999

Boon Siew Honda has announced new colour updates for the 2026 Honda CBR650R and CB650R E-Clutch models.

The Honda CBR650R E-Clutch is now offered in Matte Gun Powder Black Metallic alongside the existing Grand Prix Red.

Meanwhile, the Honda CB650R E-Clutch is available in Jeans Blue Metallic and Candy Energy Orange, while Matte Gun Powder Black Metallic remains in the lineup.

Pricing is as follows:

  • Honda CB650R E-Clutch: RM47,999
  • Honda CBR650R E-Clutch: RM49,999

Specifications

Both motorcycles are powered by a 649 cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder DOHC engine producing 93.9 hp at 12,000 rpm and 63 Nm of torque at 9,500 rpm.

Power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox paired with E-Clutch technology. This system allows riders to shift gears without using the clutch lever, reducing fatigue when riding in urban traffic.

However, the manual clutch lever is retained, allowing riders to enjoy conventional manual gear changes when desired.

The suspension setup comprises 41 mm Showa SFF-BP USD forks up front and a rear mono-shock with 10-step preload adjustment.

Braking is handled by dual 310 mm front rotors with four-piston calipers, assisted by a single 240 mm rear rotor with a single-piston caliper.

2026 Yamaha Y15ZR updated with new Cyan Jade colour; SE Variant in Royal Maroon, from RM8,998

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor has announced a colour update for the Yamaha Y15ZR.

The standard variant is now offered in Cyan Jade, replacing the outgoing Mecha Green, while Aqua Violet and Blue Spark remain in the lineup.

Prices start at RM8,998, excluding road tax, registration and insurance.

Meanwhile, the Special Edition (SE) variant comes in Royal Maroon and is priced from RM9,498.

Specifications Unchanged

The Yamaha Y15ZR retains its 150 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder SOHC engine, producing 15.2 hp at 8,500 rpm and 13.8 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.

Suspension comprises telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock at the rear, with disc brakes fitted to both wheels.

Fuel tank capacity is 4.2 litres, while seat height stands at 780 mm.

The SE version gains additional equipment, including:

  • A sports visor
  • Yamaha Premium Basket with a built-in USB Type-C charging port

Proton e.MAS 5 gets new Jade Green colour

Pro-Net, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Proton has announced a new colour for the Proton e.MAS 5, named Jade Green.

The model is showcased alongside the newly introduced Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV in Emerald Green for the Malaysian market.

As of 2026, Proton has successfully sold over 8,000 units of the e.MAS 5.

It has also proven to be a popular model in the Northern region, holding a market share of 64.2 percent as of March 2026.

GMA Platform Showcased for the First Time in the North

Pro-Net also took the opportunity to showcase the Global Modular Architecture (GMA) platform in the North.

2026 Yamaha TMAX Tech Max comes with new Crystal Graphite colour – priced at RM75,888

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn Bhd has announced a new colour option, Crystal Graphite for the Yamaha TMAX Tech Max 2026.

This maxi scooter in the new colour is priced at RM75,888, excluding registration fees and insurance.

The Yamaha TMAX Tech Max is still powered by a liquid-cooled, DOHC 562 cc twin-cylinder engine, delivering 46.9 hp at 7,000 rpm and 55 Nm of torque at 5,250 rpm.

The suspension system features telescopic forks at the front, complemented by a single shock absorber at the rear.

Additionally, it comes equipped with several premium features, including:

  • Cruise control
  • Traction Control System (TCS)
  • Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
  • Communication Control Unit (CCU) compatible with the Y-Connect app

The fuel tank has a capacity of 15 liters, while the seat height is approximately 800 mm.

In addition to the Crystal Graphite colour, buyers can still choose the Ceramic Grey option.

Proton X50 now available in Quartz Black

Proton has announced the introduction of a new colour, Quartz Black, for the Proton X50 SUV model.

This follows the successful launch of the X50 Black Edition last March, which sold out all 200 units.

Strong Sales Momentum

Throughout March 2026, the Proton X50 continued to demonstrate strong sales momentum, with 3,265 units sold.

This solid performance has maintained its position as the most popular SUV in Malaysia for the first three months of the year, with a total of 7,571 units sold.

Proton is also offering a comprehensive after-sales service package to provide convenience and peace of mind to owners.

Among the offerings are:

  • Fast basic service within 90 minutes for customers who make advance bookings
  • Assurance that vehicles will be completed within 24 hours for comprehensive maintenance work
  • A replacement vehicle and free service (including labor and spare parts costs) if repairs take more than three working days

The facelifted Proton X50 was officially launched in July last year, featuring significant changes both inside and out.

It is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 181 PS and 290 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

2026 Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV now available in Emerald Green

Pro-Net, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Proton, has announced the new Emerald Green colour for the 2026 Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV model.

According to Salawati Yusoff, Chief Branding Officer of Pro-Net, this new color not only provides more options but also enhances the design and identity of this SUV.

The e.MAS 7 PHEV features Geely’s Super Hybrid EM-i powertrain, which consists of a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine (98 hp/125 Nm) and a single electric motor (215 hp/262 Nm).

The total power output reaches 258 hp and 262 Nm, driving the front wheels.

There are two battery capacity options for the e.MAS 7 PHEV.

The Premium Plus variant uses a short-blade Aegis 29.8 kWh battery, offering a range of 170 km (NEDC data) and supporting 60 kW DC fast charging.

Charging from 30% to 80% takes less than 16 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Premium and Prime variants are equipped with a CATL 18.4 kWh battery, providing a driving range of 105 km and supporting up to 30 kW DC charging.

This PHEV system offers three hybrid modes: Series Hybrid Mode, Parallel Mode, and Direct Drive Mode.

Overall, the e.MAS 7 PHEV can travel up to 1,065 km.

In addition to Emerald Green, customers can choose from colours such as Obsidian Black, Lithium White, Mercury Silver, Galena Grey, and Azure Blue.

2026 Yamaha Ego Avantiz now available with three new colours – priced at RM5,998

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor announced the 2026 Yamaha Ego Avantiz is now available in three new colour options: black, blue, and green.

The selling price starts from RM5,998 on the road, excluding insurance and registration.

The basic specifications of this scooter remain unchanged, powered by an air-cooled single-cylinder engine that generates 9.4 hp at 8,000 rpm and torque of 9.6 Nm at 5,500 rpm.

Its underbone steel frame is supported by a telescopic fork at the front, complemented by a single shock absorber at the rear.

The braking system consists of a single hydraulic rotor for the front wheel and a drum brake at the rear.

The fuel tank has a capacity of 4.2 liters, while the seat height is approximately 773 mm.

Aveta Vanguard 250 SE now with Twilight Blue colour – price remains at RM16,388

Aveta Malaysia has announced the introduction of a new Twilight Blue colour for the Vanguard 250 SE maxi scooter, complementing the existing Majestic Green and Titanium Grey options.

In addition to the new colour, Aveta Malaysia has confirmed that the Standard version of the Vanguard 250 will no longer be officially offered.

The Vanguard 250 features a single-cylinder, 244.2 cc engine capable of delivering a maximum power output of 24.8 hp at 8,500 rpm and a torque of 22.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It is equipped with a Bosch fuel injection system.

According to previously announced specifications, the Vanguard 250 SE comes with features such as a 37 mm telescopic forks, twin gas shock absorbers at the rear, a four-piston brake caliper at the front, and a two-piston caliper at the rear, along with 15-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels.

Other features include a riding recorder camera, a seven-inch TFT display, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), a dual-channel ABS braking system, and Traction Control System (TCS).

The selling price remains unchanged, starting from RM16,388, excluding road tax and insurance.

In the latest development, Aveta Malaysia has been recognized by TARO Motor (a Chinese manufacturer) as the Global Best Sales Partner for achieving outstanding sales performance of the Vanguard 250 model.
