Jetour Malaysia records over 2,000 bookings, delivers 1,000 units to customers

Jetour Malaysia has announced a proud achievement since launching its local assembly program (CKD) in June 2025.

As of now, more than 2,000 bookings have been received, while over 1,000 units of the Dashing and VT9 SUVs have already been delivered to customers.

This success is driven by the rapid expansion of Jetour’s sales and service network across the country.

By August 2025, 20 authorized dealers have been fully operational, complete with sales services, repairs, spare parts, as well as body and paint services.

All of these dealer networks offer access to the latest Jetour models, personal consultation sessions, test drives, and maintenance services by certified technicians from the Jetour Global Academy.

Customers in the Klang Valley can access these services in Bukit Jalil, Klang, Cheras, Sungai Long, Setia Alam, Kepong, Damansara, Puchong, Glenmarie, Jalan Kuching, and Ampang.

In the Northern Region, Jetour’s service network is available in Ipoh, Penang, and Alor Setar, while the Southern Region includes Johor Bahru and Melaka.

By the end of the year, Jetour plans to expand its network to 30 authorized dealerships nationwide.

New locations for Jetour’s dealer network will open in the following areas:

  • Klang Valley: Petaling Jaya, Seri Kembangan, Putrajaya, Sunway, Kota Damansara, and Kepong (second branch).
  • Northern Region: Sungai Petani, Bayan Lepas, and Ipoh (second branch).
  • Southern Region: Seremban and Melaka (second branch).
  • Eastern Coast: Kuantan, Temerloh, Bentong, and Kota Bharu.
  • Eastern Malaysia: Kuching, Sibu, Miri, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, and Tawau.

According to Mr. Fu Yong, Chief Executive Officer of JETOUR Malaysia, “The growth of our sales and service network in Malaysia reflects the confidence and strong response from local customers towards JETOUR.

“We are committed to producing high-quality vehicles and providing a seamless ownership experience so that the spirit of adventure can be felt by every driver in Malaysia.”

Jetour begins CKD operations to strengthen position in ASEAN

Jetour Auto Malaysia has officially commenced local assembly operations (CKD) for the Dashing SUV and VT9 models at the Berjaya Assembly Sdn Bhd (B-Assembly) facility in Tampoi, Johor Bahru.

The 640,000 square-foot facility provides over 100 job opportunities, establishing Malaysia as a strategic hub for manufacturing and distribution within the ASEAN region.

B-Assembly, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Berjaya Assets Berhad, serves as Jetour’s local assembly partner.

This existing facility is equipped with Industry 4.0-capable systems, reflecting the shared commitment of both companies to high manufacturing standards, operational efficiency, and sustainable mobility solutions.

Wen Qiangkang, Vice President of Jetour International, stated, “This significant achievement reflects our strong confidence in Malaysia as a strategic market for Jetour.”

Fu Yong, CEO of Jetour Malaysia, added, “With the launch of local manufacturing operations, we are proud to offer high-quality vehicles assembled in Malaysia, in line with our ongoing commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.”

Since the official launch of its first product line in Malaysia, Jetour has seen rapid growth, expanding to over 20 branches across the country.

These CKD operations mark an important milestone in efforts to accelerate local procurement to meet increasing demand, shorten delivery times, and enhance customer satisfaction through added value for consumers in Malaysia.

Currently, the facility focuses on assembling the Dashing and VT9 models, with over 1,000 vehicles produced so far.

Deliveries of the locally assembled Dashing model began in June 2025, followed by the VT9 model in the near future.

Looking ahead, Jetour plans to invest approximately RM1.4 billion in Malaysia to support the launch of more locally assembled models and exports to neighboring countries in the ASEAN region.

Jetour’s 7-seater SUV now officially named VT9

Following the launch of the Dashing model, Jetour Malaysia has confirmed that another seven-seater family SUV will soon be arriving in Malaysia.

Unlike the name used in international markets, this three-row SUV will be known as the Jetour VT9, as indicated in a post on Instagram.

The Jetour VT9 was first showcased at the 2024 Malaysia Autoshow.

Recently, Jetour displayed the right-hand drive (RHD) version of the VT9 at the Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao hotel, coinciding with the Jetour Together For Future conference and 2025 Auto Shanghai.

The VT9 is fundamentally a D-segment SUV with dimensions of 4,724 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,720 mm in height, along with a wheelbase of 2,720 mm.

In Malaysia, it will compete with models such as the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro and the Proton X90.

In terms of power, the VT9 features the same 1.5-liter turbo engine used in the Dashing model, paired with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

Based on the displayed RHD model, the VT9’s cabin layout closely resembles that of the Dashing, featuring amenities such as a dual 10.25-inch display, a steering wheel, push-button start styled like Mercedes, a wireless device charger, and a Jetour gear knob.

The most noticeable difference between the two models is the design of the door panels and the finishing on the front seats.

Further specifications and pricing details will only be revealed ahead of the official launch set to take place at the 2025 Malaysia Autoshow next month.
