Denza Z to debut at Goodwood FOS, ready to challenge Porsche 911

The premium BYD brand, Denza is set to enliven this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed with a new flagship model.

The model was previously showcased under the name Z Concept at last year’s Shanghai Auto Show.

Bright Orange Production Version Revealed

Denza has also unveiled early images of the bright orange production version, which is being overshadowed by Stella Li (Executive Vice President of BYD) and Daniel Craig (the actor known for his role as James Bond).

Based on the images, it still retains the design of the original concept model.

Some noticeable features include:

  • Sharp diamond-shaped headlights
  • Aggressive front bumper
  • Two-tone rims

However, the production version does not include the large front splitter and rear spoiler.

Basic Specifications Remain a Mystery

Denza has yet to confirm the complete specifications of the powertrain that will drive the Z model.

However, it is highly likely that it will utilize the same system as the Z9 GT model, which consists of three electric motors, powers exceeding 952 hp, and a 100 kWh Blade battery.

These figures are certainly enough to make the Porsche 911 break a sweat.

It is also expected to feature advanced technologies such as:

  • Magnetorheological suspension
  • Steer-by-wire system
  • Crab-walk capability

Former Secret Agent Helps Promote Denza Z

BYD has collaborated with renowned actor Daniel Craig for the global campaign of Denza.

This collaboration aims to strengthen the brand’s presence in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.

Honda to showcase Super EV Concept at Goodwood Festival of Speed this July

Introducing the Honda Super EV Concept. With a design that bears a striking resemblance, could this be the true successor to the Honda e electric hatchback?

The Honda Super EV Concept will be officially unveiled by Honda at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this July, featuring impressively compact dimensions.

As is typical for a concept model, it is still covered with camouflage stickers.

However, we can see several details, such as round-shaped headlights, a charging slot located at the front grille, wide front and rear fenders, and a flat roofline.

According to Honda, this concept is designed to showcase how a model in the A-segment can still deliver an enjoyable electric driving performance while maintaining the usability associated with the Honda brand.

They also mentioned that this sporty small model has already undergone feasibility testing in the UK as part of a broader global prototype program.

So, does this mean that Honda is ready to launch this model in the Southeast Asian market, especially in Malaysia?

Polestar Concept BST previews high-performance electric roadster

POLESTAR is among the many brands adding excitement to the Goodwood Festival of Speed with its latest lineup of vehicles.

In addition to production cars such as the Polestar 2, 3, and 4, the brand is also showcasing how far it can go when it comes to performance with the BST Concept.

The fully-electric roadster was developed based on the Polestar 6, but as you can see, it looks more far more ferocious thanks to a motorsport-inspired body kit.

The bodywork is further enhanced with a classic silver shade, muscular flared arches, extra wide track and 22-inch forged alloy wheels.

The aerodynamics are also emphasized through the vented bonnet, which is framed by an aggressive front splitter, as well as an extreme rear wing and bespoke racing-livery inspired graphics.

There are practically zero details regarding the powertrain, but rumours suggest the Concept BST could follow in the footsteps of the Polestar 6 by featuring a twin electric motor setup with 884 hp and 900 Nm.

If Polestar decides to put the BST Concept into production though, it could have significantly higher output, as seen in the Polestar 2 BST Edition 230 and 270.

The car it’s based on, the Polestar 6 will also make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It is built on the bespoke bonded aluminium Polestar Performance Architecture (PPA) platform, which is also used by the Polestar 5, a four-door electric sedan that will compete with Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW.
