Suzuki Cars Malaysia appoints Carsome as exclusive official trade-in partner

Suzuki Cars Malaysia has appointed Carsome Malaysia as its exclusive official trade-in partner, making it easier for Malaysians to upgrade to a new Suzuki through a seamless, transparent and convenient trade-in experience.

The partnership integrates Carsome’s vehicle inspection, valuation and trade-in capabilities across Suzuki’s authorised dealership network, allowing customers to trade in vehicles of any make or model as part of their new Suzuki purchase.

By removing the need to separately sell an existing vehicle before purchasing a new one, the collaboration streamlines one of the biggest friction points in the car ownership journey while giving customers greater confidence through transparent, data-backed vehicle valuations.

“This partnership reflects our commitment to continuously improving the ownership experience for our customers,” said Mohd Rizal Jailan, Chief Executive Officer of Naza Automotive Group.

“Buying a new car should be exciting, and not complicated. Together with Carsome, we are making it easier for customers to realise the value of their existing vehicle and transition into a new Suzuki with greater convenience and confidence.”

Eric Cheng, Co-Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Carsome, said the collaboration reflects a shared vision of creating a more connected automotive ecosystem.

“Customers should not have to navigate separate processes to sell one car and buy another. By combining Suzuki’s dealership network with Carsome’s trusted inspection, valuation and trade-in capabilities, we are simplifying that journey and giving customers greater transparency and peace of mind when upgrading their vehicles.”

The collaboration will roll out across all Suzuki dealerships nationwide.

To mark the launch of the partnership, Suzuki Cars Malaysia is introducing its Merdeka Mega Bonanza Campaign, running from August to September 2026.

Customers purchasing selected Suzuki models can enjoy rebates of up to RM19,000 as well as trade-in support of up to RM6,900 when trading-in through Carsome.

Participating models include the Swift Sport, Fronx, Fronx Sport, Jimny AllGrip Pro, Jimny 5-Door and the recently launched Suzuki e VITARA.

The campaign also includes a lucky draw featuring six grand prizes comprising two iPhone 17 smartphones, two Google Pixel 10 smartphones and two Samsung Galaxy S26 smartphones, together with nine consolation prizes of RM200 Touch ‘n Go eWallet credits.

Customers can experience the new trade-in programme firsthand at the Naza Automania Carnival – Merdeka Edition, taking place from 14–16 August 2026.

Visitors will be able to explore Suzuki’s latest model lineup, receive trade-in valuations through Carsome, and enjoy campaign-exclusive promotions alongside family-friendly activities throughout the weekend.

The carnival will also feature the popular Jimny Community Gathering, culminating in the Best Looking Jimny Competition on 15 August, celebrating one of Suzuki’s most iconic owner communities.

The Suzuki-Carsome official trade-in programme and Merdeka Mega Bonanza Campaign are available at authorised Suzuki dealerships nationwide. Customers can visit their nearest showroom throughout August and September to learn more.

Chery Malaysia, Carsome join forces to revolutionise car trade-ins

CHERY Malaysia announced that it has recently signed two Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with
Carsome and Carsome Academy.

The primary focus of these partnerships is to revolutionise vehicle trade-ins and enhance soft skills within the brand’s network of representatives.

Carsome is making the process seamless for new Chery customers walking into their showroom. Upon opting for a trade-in, customers can have Carsome conduct a vehicle inspection at their preferred location.

Following the inspection, Carsome will promptly offer a price for the trade-in vehicle. Once the offer is accepted, customers can then hand over their old vehicle before or while collecting their new Chery vehicle.

Carsome also threw in a special campaign to Chery dealers by offering an additional RM500 on top of the trade-in offer price for their customers who trade in their vehicles from 15 January to 15 February 2024.

Meanwhile, the second MoU aims to bolster soft skills within Chery’s network of representatives. The agreement will centre on four aspects, namely Upskilling Workfore, Peneraju Skil Motor Vehicle Inspection Programme, Training & Placements and Marketing Initiatives.

Chery Auto Malaysia Vice President Lee Wen Hsiang said both collaborations were timely for Chery Malaysia’s growing customer base over the months since the brand debut in July last year.

“The collaboration with CARSOME will be beneficial and important for our dealers, especially with the increase in customers who seek to trade in their old cars for a new Chery vehicle,” he said.

Additionally, with plans to expand showrooms to 48 outlets by the end of 2024, there will be an increase in the workforce, including sales representatives and managers. Therefore, ensuring the importance of Chery’s customer service becomes a crucial step for the brand’s future success.
