UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has announced the arrival of the premium hybrid SUV, the 2026 Toyota Harrier 2.5 HEV, in the Malaysian market.
The 2026 Toyota Harrier HEV is priced starting at RM289,000.
Harrier HEV Specifications
The Harrier HEV is powered by the fourth-generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS), which includes:
- 2.5-liter Dynamic Force engine A25A-FXS (178 PS @ 5,700 rpm, 221 Nm @ 3,600-5,200 rpm)
- Electric motor (120 PS/202 Nm)
- Lithium-ion battery
- e-CVT transmission
Overall, this system generates up to 217 PS with a fuel consumption rate of 4.7 liters per 100 km.
Four driving modes are available: Eco, Normal, Sport, and EV.
Standard features of the Harrier HEV include a MacPherson/Trailing Wishbone suspension setup complete with stabilizers, disc brake system, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED lights, and electric power steering.
