BYD Japan has announced that it will begin sales of the 2026 BYD Racco kei car model this year.
Competing with the Honda N-Box, it will be priced at around 2.5 million yen (approximately RM60,000).
Cabin Design Revealed
At the same time, BYD has unveiled the cabin layout of the upcoming kei car.
Notable features include:
- LCD cluster screen
- Central infotainment screen
- Compact front seat design
- Center-mounted gear shift lever
- Physical buttons for climate control
As a kei car, the BYD Racco also offers several practical storage solutions, including a small tray on the dashboard.
It is equipped with USB Type-A and USB Type-C charging ports, a 12V power socket, and front seat heating functionality.
Basic Specifications
The BYD Racco measures 3,395 mm in length, 1,475 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height.
It is powered by a single front-wheel-drive electric motor that produces 27 hp.
The 20 kWh LFP battery pack offers a driving range of up to 180 km and supports fast charging of up to 100 kW.
