MODENAS Z15GT secures maiden victory in PETRONAS Sprinta Pro-Am Cup 2026

The MODENAS Z15GT secured its maiden victory in the PETRONAS Sprinta Pro-Am Cup category at Round 7 of the PETRONAS MAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship 2026, held at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit (South Track) on October 18.

The victory came through Raynorton Motorsport rider Md Firdaus Mohd Hamdan (#98), who was officially declared the winner following the six-lap race.

Starting seventh on the grid, Firdaus completed the race with a total time of 8 minutes and 22.674 seconds.

He finished ahead of Md Haziq Rosmaza (#15) and Md Harith Rosmaza (#5) in the official classification, following the disqualification of two other riders for technical infringements.

The victory came just eight days after Firdaus secured the Z15GT’s first podium finish in the Pro-Am category at the LYL International Karting Circuit on October 10.

During that race, he made an impressive comeback from 16th on the starting grid to finish second.

According to Firdaus, the achievement was the result of the entire Raynorton Motorsport team’s hard work in developing the Z15GT throughout the season.

The Sepang round also saw two other Z15GT riders deliver encouraging results.

Fellow Raynorton Motorsport rider Md Amirul Affiq Ahmad Solikhin (#52) finished fifth, while Md Afiq Hamdan (#90) secured eighth place.

These results placed three MODENAS Z15GT motorcycles among the top eight finishers in the Pro-Am category.

Meanwhile, MODENAS Chief Executive Officer Roslan Roskan described the victory as a significant milestone for the Z15GT and a testament to the capabilities of local racing teams.

MODENAS currently supports four independent racing teams competing with the Z15GT in the 2026 Malaysian Cub Prix Championship.

The initiative reflects MODENAS’ commitment to nurturing local motorsports talent and strengthening the presence of Malaysian-made motorcycles in competitive racing.
