Honda Malaysia pulls City facelift promotional materials, confirms drum brakes on E variant
Honda Malaysia has clarified that the rear brake system fitted to the Honda City E variant is a drum brake setup.
The clarification follows a viral social media post highlighting a discrepancy in the information presented in the model’s product brochure.
In a statement, Honda expressed its appreciation to the customer who brought the issue to its attention.
The company has also contacted the individual involved and is working to resolve the matter amicably.
Honda Malaysia further emphasised that the drum brake system fully complies with all applicable safety and quality standards.
As a result, Honda Malaysia is withdrawing all marketing materials related to the facelifted City and will immediately distribute updated versions to all authorised dealerships and online platforms.
