Proton has officially launched its new subsidiary, Proton Capital Sdn Bhd as a dedicated automotive financing arm.
The initiative aims to make vehicle ownership more accessible for eligible customers.
Financing for eligible customers
Proton Capital aims to deliver an integrated, efficient and customer‑focused financing experience, from application to vehicle handover.
In its initial phase, Proton Capital will serve eligible individual customers, including:
- salaried employees
- self‑employed individuals
- customers with other verifiable income sources
Applications can be submitted through 12 participating branches across the Klang Valley.
Each application will be assessed based on income, existing financial commitments, credit information and the applicant’s repayment capability.
Proton Capital is also targeting one‑working‑day approval for complete applications.
More options for customers
At launch, Proton Capital will offer conventional hire‑purchase financing for new Proton vehicles, including standard fixed‑rate packages and a dedicated package for the Proton S70 taxi.
The company also plans to introduce additional products in stages, including financing tailored for e‑hailing services.
For now, only conventional financing is available, while Shariah‑compliant financing is scheduled to be introduced by early November.
