Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia has officially opened bookings for the 2026 Jaecoo J5 EV, the brand’s first fully electric SUV.

The company estimates that the J5 EV will be priced from RM125,000.

Key Specifications

The Jaecoo J5 EV is powered by a single electric motor driving the front wheels, producing 208 hp and 288 Nm of torque.

Its 58.9 kWh CATL Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack delivers a driving range of up to 402 km (WLTP).

The J5 EV also supports fast charging, enabling the battery to be charged from 30% to 80% state of charge (SoC) in 28 minutes, and comes equipped with Vehicle‑to‑Load (V2L) functionality.

Milestones Marking the Second Anniversary

Alongside opening bookings for its first EV, Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia is celebrating its second anniversary and more than 32,000 vehicle deliveries nationwide.

Over 8,100 units have been delivered as of July 2026, positioning Omoda | Jaecoo as the fifth best‑selling automotive brand in Malaysia.

A major contributor to this performance is the Jaecoo J5, introduced in March 2026. Since its launch, the SUV has recorded over 2,500 deliveries within four months.

Commitment to Electrification

The brand’s commitment to new‑energy mobility is reflected in its sales performance.

In the first half of 2026 (H1 2026), deliveries of new‑energy vehicles (NEV) rose to 2,300 units, compared to 244 units during the same period last year.
