Dunlop begins a new chapter in Malaysia, showcasing EV-ready tyres

Dunlop has announced that it is opening a new chapter in Malaysia with Toyotsu Binter Malaysia Sdn Bhd (TBM) appointed as its exclusive distributor.

Located at the Malaysia Autoshow 2026, Dunlop also unveiled its new direction, focusing on readiness for the era of electrification.

Strengthening Presence in Malaysia

Dunlop has been established in Malaysia since the 1960s.

This new initiative aims to rebuild that legacy with a product and market strategy more aligned with global standards, driven by Toyotsu Binter’s regional expertise in ASEAN.

This new direction is further reinforced by the network of Toyota Tsusho Corporation and close collaboration with Sumitomo Rubber Industries.

TBM is currently working with over 190 authorized Dunlop dealers nationwide, with plans to expand the network over the next two years.

They will also introduce a dedicated retail concept for Dunlop as part of their long-term network development strategy.

TBM is also strengthening Dunlop’s position in the replacement and OEM segments to enhance the brand’s presence in vehicle manufacturer supply programs.

Among the OEM manufacturers using Dunlop tires are:

  • Toyota
  • Lexus
  • Isuzu
  • Mazda
  • Leapmotor

EV-Ready Products

One of the main highlights of the exhibition is the Blue Response TG tyre.

The Blue Response TG is a passenger car tyre designed to offer comfort and handling stability while optimizing rolling resistance and cabin quietness.

Dunlop also plans to introduce the e.Sport Maxx as an initiative to bolster its EV-ready product offerings in the Malaysian market.

Additionally, other tire products suitable for use on EVs include the Sport Maxx Lux and SP Sport Maxx 060+.
