UMW Toyota records sales of 4,856 units in February 2026
UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) recorded sales of 4,856 units during February 2026.
This brings the total for the year to date to 9,556 units.
This stable performance is driven by ongoing demand for core Toyota models, reinforced by an enhanced product lineup launched at the beginning of the year, along with Toyota’s extensive dealer network and after-sales service across the country.
Focus on Electrification Across Segments
UMWT entered 2026 by introducing several refreshed models and electrification across key segments, providing customers with more choices supported by a robust ownership ecosystem.
Among the new models playing a significant role are:
- Vios Hybrid & Vios HEV GR Sport
- Corolla Cross HEV GR Sport (facelift)
- Vellfire HEV
- Harrier HEV
All four models reflect the implementation of Toyota’s Multi-Pathway strategy, which progressively introduces electrification across sedans, SUVs, and MPVs, rather than focusing on a single segment.
According to Datuk Ravindran K, President of UMW Toyota Motor, “In a rapidly changing market, growth must be anchored by a clear direction, and the Multi-Pathway approach ensures that customers are not tied to a single solution.
“By expanding hybrid options while strengthening our network, we provide practical electrification choices supported by a reliable ownership ecosystem.”
Opening of Prima Pearl 4S Centre
On February 9, 2026, UMWT inaugurated the Prima Pearl 4S Centre in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
This integrated facility combines Sales, Service, and Body & Paint under one roof, enhancing convenience and service capacity for customers in the northern region.
Other facilities include:
- 4 display areas
- 2 delivery spaces
- 10 general service bays
- 10 Body & Paint bays
Ownership Support & Promotions Ahead of Festivals
UMWT continues to prioritize organized ownership support:
- Toyota Service Savers — regular maintenance starting from RM31 per month.
