UMW Toyota Motor records 4,700 units sold in January 2026
UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) kicked off 2026 with a stable start, selling 4,700 units of vehicles throughout January.
This achievement reflects consistent market acceptance and is supported by a wide range of products available in the Malaysian market.

Expanding Comprehensive Mobility Offerings
Under the Multipathway approach, Toyota continues to broaden its mobility options without leaving customers behind. So far, high-performance models such as the GR Corolla with automatic transmission and Vellfire HEV have been launched.
Not to forget the Vios HEV, which offers more affordable electrification.
UMWT has also invested in a hybrid battery assembly facility at the Bukit Raja plant, with an annual capacity of up to 30,000 units. This facility is expected to strengthen supply resilience and support the wider adoption of hybrid vehicles in Malaysia.
Promotions for the Chinese New Year
In conjunction with the Chinese New Year, UMWT is offering festive promotions for selected models, with benefits of up to RM9,500 and monthly installments as low as RM658.
UMWT is also introducing several special programs to enhance customer ownership confidence, such as:
- Toyota Extend: extended warranty protection beyond the standard period for selected models.
- Toyota Service Savers: maintenance package options starting from RM33/month for a duration of 5 years.
