Over 400 AirAsia Ride drivers benefit from IGL Coatings’ hydrophobic class coating technology
AirAsia Ride is the first e-hailing platform in Malaysia to integrate hydrophobic glass coating technology on its fleet of vehicles.
This collaboration with IGL Coatings aims to benefit more than 400 AirAsia Ride drivers in the Klang Valley, Johor, and Penang.
In a pilot program, 120 AirAsia Ride drivers were the first group to receive the newly launched IGL hydrophobic glass coating.
Additionally, 300 IGL Window DIY kits will be distributed to drivers, customers, and users of AirAsia Ride across Malaysia.
The graphene-based coating technology from IGL enhances glass clarity during heavy rain and nighttime driving.
As a result, it allows drivers to maintain better visibility and control, reducing fatigue and contributing to a more comfortable journey for passengers.
According to Ramanathan A.M.N. Tiagarajan, Chief Financial Officer of AirAsia MOVE, “This collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to empower the driver community and provide the best travel experience for passengers.”
Keong Chun Chieh, Founder of IGL Coatings, stated, “From protecting cars and surfaces to now safeguarding road users, this partnership is a meaningful step towards safer roads and a stronger appreciation for those who drive to advance our cities.”
Someone who loves driving manual cars but prefers riding an automatic scooter. Maybe it's an age thing.
