FedEx Malaysia adds 41 Maxus e-Deliver 3 electric vans

Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) has announced the addition of 41 new Maxus e-Deliver 3 electric vans to its existing fleet as part of its commitment to sustainable logistics in Malaysia.

Each electric van can travel up to 228 km on a full charge and has a cargo capacity of 920 kg.

The addition of these electric vans is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 305 metric tons per year compared to the diesel vans they replace.

All electric vehicles (EVs) will be deployed for package pickup and delivery services in several major cities, including Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Ipoh, Penang, and the Klang Valley.

FedEx will also install up to 41 alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) charging stations at various strategic locations to support the new EV fleet.

According to Tien Long Woon, Managing Director of FedEx Malaysia, “The success of cross-border EV deliveries between Malaysia and Singapore last year has further strengthened our confidence in the role that electric vehicles can play in the logistics sector.”

“The expansion of this new EV fleet is a significant step forward in integrating sustainability into our daily operations.”
