ASEAN NCAP has announced that Toyota Yaris Cross has successfully achieved a five-star rating in the new vehicle assessment tests conducted.
In the evaluation, the Toyota Yaris Cross received an overall score of 83.02 points, assessed based on four categories:
- Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) – 36.36/40.00
- Child Occupant Protection (COP) – 17.32/20.00
- Safety Assistance (SA) – 16.89/20.00
- Motorcycle Safety (MS) – 12.21/20.00
Depending on the market, the Toyota Yaris Cross, specially designed for the ASEAN market (excluding Singapore, which receives the TNGA Yaris Cross model), is equipped with standard safety features such as six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), ABS, seatbelt reminder (SBR) for front and rear passengers, and pedestrian protection technology.
Several advanced functions are also included, such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Blind Spot Detection (BSD) for both left and right sides, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keeping Assistance (LKA), and Automatic High Beams (AHB).
