2025 Hyundai Staria Prestige unveiled in Malaysia, official launch on July 2
If you have noticed, the Hyundai Staria MPV has been one of Hyundai’s best-selling models in Malaysia since its official introduction three years ago.
Sales of this model will continue under Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY), with an updated version set to be officially launched on July 2.
Also showcased is the most premium variant, the Prestige, which offers a seven-seat configuration.
It features unique characteristics such as Brass Chrome trim on the exterior, including the side mirror housing, light housing, door handles, and the emblem.
In addition to the seven-seat Staria Prestige, there will also be a 10-seat Prestige version, as well as two other 10-seat variants: Style and Prime.
Depending on the variant, the Staria is equipped with features such as a dual panoramic glass roof, Premium Relaxation seats, automatic climate control, an 8-inch touchscreen, a Bose audio system with 12 speakers, and a cargo space of 431 liters.
All variants continue to be powered by a 2.2-liter CRDi diesel engine that produces 177 PS and 430 Nm of torque, drive only to the front wheels.
Interestingly, HMY’s press release mentions the upcoming hybrid variant, the Prestige HEV.
According to global market specifications, the Hyundai Staria HEV is powered by a Smartstream G1.6 T-GDi engine that delivers 245 PS and 367 Nm, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Hyundai SmartSense safety features include functions such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), Blind Spot Collision Warning (BCW), Safe Exit Assist (SEA), Smart Cruise Control (SCC), Lane Following Assist (LFA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist (RCCA), a surround view monitoring system, blind spot monitoring, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
