Mitsubishi Malaysia celebrates the 40,000th Xpander owner
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia, the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Malaysia, recently announced a significant milestone as the production of the seven-seater MPV, Xpander, has surpassed the 40,000 units mark.
The 40,000th Xpander owner, Puan Zaty Ewany, a teacher and mother of five children from Pasir Puteh, Kelantan, was honored at an event held at MMM’s authorized distributor, RIF Auto Sdn Bhd.
MMM’s CEO, Shinya Ikeda, personally presented a RM10,000 vacation voucher to Puan Zaty Ewany.
“When we launched the Xpander in late 2020, our vision was to create a vehicle that not only meets various customer needs but also enriches their lifestyle,” he stated.
The Mitsubishi Xpander was updated for ASEAN market in 2021 with a more aggressive look, while retaining the 1.5-liter 4A91 engine producing 105 PS and 141 Nm.
Earlier this year, a hybrid version was introduced in the Thailand market featuring a 1.6-liter 4A92 engine with 95 PS/134 Nm paired with an electric motor of 116 PS/255 Nm.
