TQ Wuling Bingo EV now equipped with ADAS as standard feature

TQ Wuling recently achieved a significant milestone with the delivery of the first batch of CKD Bingo EVs to customers in Malaysia.

This marks the brand’s transition from the introduction phase to actual ownership.

According to Wan Wei Sun, Business Head of TQ Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, “This moment is more than just delivering vehicles; it represents trust, confidence, and the beginning of many more ownership journeys.”

Early Bingo EV Customers Share Their Experiences

Most early owners cited factors such as practicality, value, and peace of mind as key determinants in their purchasing decisions.

“I have been attracted to the retro-modern design of the Bingo EV from the start,” said Intan, one of the earliest Bingo EV owners.

“After the test drive, I was thrilled with its responsiveness and ease of driving in the city.”

“Besides the appearance, the existing maintenance support in Malaysia provides peace of mind. It’s stylish, practical, and fits my budget.”

ADAS as a Standard Feature

Along with the first deliveries, TQ Wuling also announced that the CKD Bingo EV comes equipped with ADAS features as standard for both variants.

Some of the ADAS features included are:

  • Blind Spot Warning (BSW)
  • Lane Change Assistance (LCA)
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
  • Rear Collision Warning (RCW)
  • Low Speed Pedestrian Warning
  • Door Opening Warning (DOW)
  • Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

The Bingo EV also includes automatic windshield wipers, a lock/unlock system when approaching, and an automatic unlock system after impact.

Furthermore, the Bingo EV comes with six airbags, making Malaysia the first market to receive this configuration.

TQ Wuling begins local assembly of Bingo EV in Malaysia

TQ Wuling has announced the commencement of its local assembly program (CKD) for the TQ Wuling Bingo EV in Malaysia.

This compact electric hatchback will be assembled at the factory owned by Tan Chong Group, located in Segambut.

This collaboration combines global EV expertise from SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) with Tan Chong Group’s extensive experience in local manufacturing to ensure international quality tailored specifically for the Malaysian market.

According to Wan Wei Sun, the CEO of TQ Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, “The start of local assembly for the TQ Wuling Bingo EV is not merely the launch of a model, but reflects our long-term investment and confidence in Malaysia as a key market and production hub.

“By integrating SGMW’s global EV capabilities with Tan Chong’s robust manufacturing heritage built over decades, we are fostering trust through quality, strengthening the local ecosystem, and laying the foundation for sustainable growth in the future.”

2026 TQ Wuling Bingo EV officially launches in Malaysia – 2 variants, from RM62,800

TQ Wuling, a joint venture between Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad and SAIC-GM-Wuling, has launched an affordable electric vehicle model, the Bingo EV.

This compact electric hatchback is locally assembled (CKD) and is offered in two main variants: the Bingo Pro priced at RM67,800, and the Bingo Max starting from RM72,800.

In conjunction with the launch, TQ Wuling is also offering a cash rebate of RM5,000.

This means the selling prices after the rebate start from RM62,800 for the Bingo Pro and RM67,800 for the Bingo Max.

Here are some key facts you need to know:

 

1. Dimensions

The Bingo EV measures 3,950 mm in length, 1,706 mm in width, and 1,580 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,560 mm.

By default, this EV is equipped with 15-inch wheels and 185/60 R15 tires.

The cargo space is 395 liters and can reach a capacity of 1,240 liters with the rear seats folded down.

 

2. Electric Motor & Battery

This electric car is powered by a single front-wheel-drive electric motor that produces 68 PS and 150 Nm of torque.

There are four driving modes available: Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport.

The Pro variant comes with a 31.9 kWh LFP battery that offers a driving range of 333 km, while the Max variant is equipped with a 37.9 kWh battery that can reach a range of 410 km.

 

3. Charging

The Bingo EV offers 7 kW AC charging, allowing the battery to charge from 0 to 100 percent in 4.5 hours (5.5 hours for the Max variant).

Both variants also support 70 kW DC fast charging, with a 30-80 percent state of charge (SoC) achievable in less than 35 minutes.

 

4. Exterior

TQ Wuling provides three two-tone color options: Lavender Purple, Neon Blue, and Milky White, all paired with a black roof.

Exterior features include LED headlights with X-shaped daytime running lights (DRL), LED taillights, rear fog lights, and turn signals integrated into the side mirror housings.

 

5. Interior

Inside the cabin, there’s a 10.25-inch instrument display and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a sound system with four speakers.

Additionally, the driver’s seat features six-way power adjustment and is upholstered in breathable leatherette.

Safety features include six airbags, ABS, EBD, Electronic Stability Control, Blind Spot Warning, electronic parking brake with Auto-Hold function, a reverse camera, ISOFIX anchor points, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
