2026 iCaur 03 now available as CKD unit, priced at RM129,880

iCaur Malaysia has announced that the CKD version of the electric SUV iCaur 03 will arrive at dealers by the end of May.

The assembly program for this CKD model began in the second quarter of 2026 at the Chery Corporate Malaysia plant in Shah Alam.

Specifications Remain Unchanged

The iCaur 03 CKD will be offered in a single variant, the iWD with no changes to the specifications.

It features a dual-motor setup producing 279 PS and 385 Nm of torque, while the 69.8 kWh battery pack provides a driving range of 418 km (NEDC data).

This SUV supports AC charging at 6.6 kW, DC fast charging at 80 kW, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality at 3.2 kW.

The starting price is RM129,880 on the road, excluding insurance.

iCaur Malaysia is also offering a package that includes a 7 kW home AC charger and a complimentary scheduled service package for 2 years or up to 45,000 km, whichever comes first.

Sales Performance for April 2026

In April 2026, iCaur recorded 547 registered units across its models.

This achievement indicates a growing market interest in its new energy vehicles (NEVs), which combine retro design, smart technology, and practicality.

According to Francis Chin, Senior Director of iCaur Malaysia, “The iCaur 03 has captured the attention of Malaysian drivers because it offers something different in the EV space.

“The shift to local assembly is an important step for us. It combines local pride with global technology, allowing us to meet the increasing demand without changing what customers love about the iCaur 03,” he added.

iCaur Malaysia has achieved a new milestone with the number of registered vehicles reaching 1,800 units on the road.

This achievement reflects the growing demand for iCaur and further strengthens its position in the off-road new energy vehicle (NEV) segment.

Official owners club established

During an event to hand over the keys to the 1,800th owner, the brand’s first official owners club (iCaur Malaysia Owners Club) was also established.

Designed to be the heartbeat of the iCaur community, this owners’ club brings together vehicle owners through meetups, shared experiences, and lifestyle activities.

The club is based on two main pillars:

  • Customization Journey, which provides opportunities for owners to exchange ideas and celebrate creativity.
  • Community Development, focused on fostering connections among members through various engaging activities.

iCaur V23 Drives Sales in February 2026

With 179 registrations, the iCaur V23 emerged as the third best-selling electric vehicle (EV) in Malaysia, while the iCaur 03 ranked seventh.

Throughout 2025, the iCaur 03 was the 14th best-selling EV, with 836 units registered in the first four months.

iCaur V23 Retro Edition now available in Malaysia – body kit priced at RM22,000

iCaur Malaysia has announced the arrival of the iCaur V23 Retro Edition model, offering an upgrade to a more classic rugged image.

The kit includes the following accessories:

  • Chrome front grille
  • Chrome front and rear wheel arches
  • Left and right fender trims
  • Chrome front and rear bumper finishes
  • Side step
  • Roof rack with side ladder

iCaur Malaysia offers the kit starting at RM22,000.

In conjunction with the Lunar New Year celebrations, the kit will be available at a special price of RM18,888, limited to only 88 sets.

This kit is available for existing V23 owners as well as new customers, with the ordering and installation process handled by all authorized iCaur dealers nationwide.

The Retro body kit package comes with a 12-month warranty, while the side step is covered by an 18-month warranty.

The iCaur V23 is a segment C electric SUV that offers off-road driving capabilities.

There are two variants available: the 2WD variant priced at RM119,870 and the iWD variant priced at RM132,980, with six color options: Off-Road Orange, Khaki White, Army Green, Slate Silver, Gravel Grey, and Carbon Black.

2026 iCaur V23 officially launched in Malaysia – prices starting from RM119,800

iCaur Malaysia has recently announced the official selling price for the V23 electric off-road SUV in the local market, starting from RM119,800 for the 2WD version and RM132,800 for the iWD version.

The 2WD variant is powered by a rear-wheel electric motor, producing 136 PS and 180 Nm of torque, paired with a 59.9 kWh LFP battery for a driving range of 360 km (NEDC data).

Meanwhile, the iWD variant features a dual motor setup with a total power output of 211 PS and 292 Nm, equipped with an 81.8 kWh NMC battery for a range of up to 430 km.

The V23 supports AC charging at 6.6 kW and DC fast charging of 85 kW, or up to 104 kW for the iWD variant.

With dimensions of 4,220 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width, 1,845 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,735 mm, the V23 boasts a short overhang design at both ends, offering a departure angle of 41 degrees and an approach angle of 42 degrees.

Additionally, it features a ground clearance of 210 mm and the capability to wade through water up to 600 mm deep.

Exterior features include LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, side steps, and 21-inch or 19-inch wheels for the 2WD variant.

The V23’s cabin houses a 15.4-inch infotainment screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, features an audio system with seven speakers, and physical buttons for the air conditioning system and driving modes (Eco, Comfort, Sport, Individual, Slippery, Off-road).

The cargo space measures 234 liters and can expand to 744 liters when the second-row seats are folded down.

Safety features include Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Change Warning (LCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Rear Collision Warning (RCW), Lane Departure Prevention (LDP), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), and Door Open Warning (DOW).

Furthermore, it is equipped with a 540-degree Surround View Camera (AVM) system, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and an NFC reader located in the driver’s side door.

Five color options are available: Off Road Orange, Khaki White, Army Green, Slate Silver, and Carbon Black.

Each purchase comes with the following packages:

  • A 7-year vehicle warranty or a limit of 150,000 km
  • An 8-year warranty for the battery and drive unit or a limit of 160,000 km
  • A battery replacement warranty if the state of charge (SoC) drops below 70 percent

For the first 1,000 buyers, iCaur Malaysia is offering a complimentary 7 kW wall charger valued at RM3,400, along with an additional 6.86-inch instrument cluster unit worth RM1,000.

Additionally, buyers will receive an extended warranty for the battery, electric motor, and power control unit for up to 10 years or a limit of 200,000 km.

iCaur V23 previewed in Malaysia – expected launch in Q4 2025, from RM145,000

iCaur Malaysia has unveiled its second electric SUV model, the iCaur V23, which is set to launch in the fourth quarter of this year (Q4 2025).

The estimated starting price ranges from RM145,000 to RM155,000.

Here are some key facts you should know:

 

Variants

Two variants will be available: 2WD and iWD.

The 2WD variant is powered by a single rear-wheel electric motor, producing 136 PS and 180 Nm, paired with a 59.9 kWh LFP battery.

The iWD variant features a dual-motor setup with an intelligent all-wheel-drive system, delivering a total power of 211 PS and 292 Nm, supported by an 81.8 kWh NMC battery.

The range can reach up to 401 km for the 2WD version and up to 501 km for the iWD variant.

 

Charging

The iCaur V23 supports standard AC charging of up to 6.6 kW.

Fast charging capabilities vary, with the 2WD variant supporting DC fast charging of up to 85 kW and the iWD variant up to 104 kW.

This SUV also includes a vehicle-to-load (V2L) function of up to 3.3 kW, making it suitable for outdoor activities.

 

Chassis

In terms of dimensions, the iCaur V23 measures 4,220 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width, and 1,845 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm.

This means it is actually shorter compared to the previously launched iCaur 03.

The suspension features a MacPherson strut in the front, supported by a multi-link setup in the rear.

The V23 employs a unibody chassis influenced by the design of several iconic off-road SUVs from earlier eras, including the Land Rover Defender, Toyota Land Cruiser, and Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

Notable features include round headlights, 19-inch wheels (21 inches for the iWD variant), side steps, and a side-opening rear door equipped with a small storage box.

 

Cabin

The V23 cabin presents a minimalist design but is equipped with several large, easily accessible physical buttons and knobs.

It also features a 15.4-inch display screen with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a 540-degree transparent chassis camera and a dedicated button for driving mode selection.

Safety

The V23 is equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Level 2, which includes features such as adaptive cruise control (ACC), lane departure warning (LDW), and autonomous emergency braking (AEB).

2025 iCaur 03 officially launched – 2 variants, priced from RM119,800

Following its debut at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, the electric off-road SUV iCaur 03 has officially launched for the local market.

For your information, the iCaur brand is a collaboration between Chery and Zhimi Technology, a subsidiary of Xiaomi.

As previously reported, buyers can obtain the iCaur 03 in either the 2WD variant or the all-wheel-drive iWD variant.

The SUV measures 4,406mm in length, 1,910mm in width, and 1,715mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,715mm. It boasts an approach angle of 28° and a departure angle of 32°.

The cargo space is 450 liters and can expand to 1,238 liters when the second-row seats are folded. There is also external storage with a capacity of 40 liters.

Initially, the iCaur 03 will be available in the 2WD variant, featuring a single electric motor producing 181 hp and 220 Nm of torque, paired with a 65.7 kWh battery that offers a range of 426 km.

Additionally, there is an all-wheel-drive iWD variant that delivers 275 hp and 385 Nm of torque, achieving a range of 418 km, thanks to a 69.8 kWh battery.

The chassis of the iCaur 03 is made from an aluminum framework, which provides a weight reduction of up to 30%, a rigidity increase of 30%, and corrosion resistance for up to 30 years.

The suspension system consists of MacPherson struts at the front, followed by an H-Arm Multi-link setup at the rear.

iCaur Malaysia also offers the iCARE Insurance Program, developed in collaboration with Allianz General Insurance, Berjaya Sompo, AIG, Etiqa Takaful, Zurich, and Zurich Takaful, which covers protection for wall chargers and portable charging cables, along with unlimited towing services.

Please note that the iCaur 03 will be offered as a completely built-up (CBU) model, while the CKD assembly program is expected to begin in January 2026.

iCaur Malaysia officially opens world’s first dealership in Glenmarie

iCaur Malaysia has officially opened the world’s first iCaur dealership located in Glenmarie and operated by Absolute Motor Sdn Bhd.

Spanning 18,912 square feet, the iCaur Glenmarie dealership is designed as a lifestyle hub featuring comprehensive services.

Facilities provided include a showroom that can accommodate five cars, a customer lounge complete with free Wi-Fi, snacks and beverages, a delivery area, and two EV charging stations.

iCaur Glenmarie also features a special iCaur Arcade corner for the enjoyment of customers and visitors.

In addition, iCaur Glenmarie houses after-sales services, offering three service bays and a dedicated customization area.

With a trained workforce of 30 employees, the iCaur Glenmarie service center can handle a capacity of up to 300 vehicles per month.

iCaur Malaysia aims to establish up to 18 sales centers and 9 full-fledged distributor centers nationwide by mid-September.

In addition to the opening of the distribution center, iCaur Malaysia is expected to launch its first model, the 03, on September 9.

iCaur Malaysia opens component hub in Shah Alam

iCaur Malaysia has officially announced the opening of its Component Hub, located in the Hicom Industrial Park, Shah Alam.

The 88,000-square-foot facility can accommodate over 10,000 selected spare parts and components, managed by Chery Corporate Malaysia and shared with Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia.

With this centralized facility, it is set to support iCaur’s after-sales operations and strengthen its network readiness ahead of the launch of the first iCaur model, the iCaur 03, in the third quarter of this year.

Emily Lek, Vice President of iCaur Malaysia, stated, “The Chery Corporate Malaysia warehouse plays a crucial role in supporting the expanding iCaur dealer network.

“It will include no fewer than 16 dealer partners soon, with further expansions planned for 2026.
