The retro-styled iCaur V25 SUV has made its global debut in Wuhu, China, joining the brand’s existing V-Series lineup.

Positioned between the V23 and V27, the V25 is offered with battery-electric (BEV) and range-extended electric (REEV) powertrains.

The REEV version features the Golden REEV system, with a dual-motor configuration producing 455 PS and 505 Nm of torque.

Its intelligent i-AWD system allows the V25 to switch between two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive according to road conditions.

Five energy management modes are available: Forced EV, EV Priority, Hybrid, Fuel First and Forced Charge.

The Golden REEV system also achieves a maximum thermal efficiency of 44.5% and a fuel-to-electricity conversion rate of 3.71 kWh per litre.

Classic design

Like the V23 and V27, the V25 retains iCaur’s Future Classic design identity, with features including:

  • Round LED headlights
  • An upright windscreen
  • A clamshell bonnet
  • Flared wheel arches
  • 21-inch wheels
  • Semi-concealed mechanical door handles
  • A side-opening tailgate with a full-size spare tyre

The upright body and flat roof also help maximise cabin and cargo space.

Cabin features

The V25’s cabin layout appears broadly similar to that of the V23.

It features a digital instrument cluster, a 15.4-inch infotainment display, four large central control knobs—including a drive mode selector—and a wireless smartphone charging pad.

Other features include:

  • Driver’s seat memory and welcome functions
  • A 15-speaker audio system
  • A panoramic sunroof
  • A powered sunshade
  • Electrically adjustable, ventilated and heated front seats

For practicality, the V25 offers 41 storage compartments and a cargo capacity of 1,549 litres.

The BEV version also gets a front storage compartment and an additional 22 litres of underfloor storage.

Designed to meet five-star safety standards

The V25’s body structure comprises 80% high-strength and advanced high-strength steel, delivering a torsional rigidity of 30,000 Nm per degree.

It also comes equipped with six airbags, a 540-degree camera system and Level 2 driver assistance features, including:

  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Lane departure warning
  • Forward collision warning
  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Blind spot detection
  • Driver monitoring

Ready for outdoor adventures

The V25 provides more than 20 dedicated mounting points for accessories and modifications, allowing owners to tailor the vehicle to their activities and preferences.

It also offers a 1.8-tonne towing capacity and vehicle-to-load (V2L) output of up to 6 kW, making it suitable for powering camping equipment and other electrical appliances.
