GWM Malaysia opens bookings for GWM WEY G9 Hi4 HEV
GWM Malaysia has announced the opening of bookings for the upcoming GWM WEY G9 Hi4 HEV, ahead of its official launch.
The addition of this new HEV variant offers Malaysians another option to enjoy the same First Class driving experience, while providing greater flexibility to choose a powertrain that best suits their driving needs.
Specifications
The MPV is powered by GWM’s Hi4 (Hybrid Intelligent 4WD) system, comprising:
- 2.0-litre turbocharged engine
- 4-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT)
- Dual electric motors
- 1.67 kWh battery pack
Combined output stands at 358 PS and 782 Nm of torque.
For comparison, the GWM WEY G9 Hi4 PHEV is equipped with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine and delivers a combined output of 442 PS and 642 Nm.
The WEY G9 Hi4 HEV is expected to retain many of the premium features available on the PHEV variant, including:
- Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
- Nappa leather upholstery
- Intelligent driver assistance technologies
Based on the specifications of the GWM WEY G9 HEV offered in neighbouring Indonesia, the model is also expected to feature:
- 18-inch alloy wheels
- 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
- 14.6-inch central infotainment display
- 21-speaker audio system
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
