MODENAS partners with Kolej KEDA to offer electric motorcycle technology training
Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (MODENAS) and Kolej KEDA have announced the establishment of the EV Motorcycle Industry–Academia Centre of Excellence (EV‑MIACE).
The facility is located at the Motorcycle Technology Department of Kolej KEDA in Sik, Kedah.
This initiative positions Kolej KEDA as the first institution in Kedah to develop a dedicated EV Centre of Excellence, aimed at integrating industry knowledge, technology and technical expertise into TVET education.
Exposure to EV technology
Through this collaboration, students will be introduced to MODENAS’s electric motorcycle systems.
MODENAS will also provide advisory support for the development of the teaching module, share current technology and technical expertise, and contribute learning equipment.
Students enrolled in the module will receive skills recognition and certification from MODENAS.
In the initial phase, 25 students will undergo the programme from September to December 2026 and receive MODENAS certification.
The collaboration will continue in 2027 with two short‑term courses for 60 participants.
From 2028 to 2030, Kolej KEDA aims to serve as an industrial training partner for upskilling and reskilling programmes under the Akademi Dalam Industri (ADI) scheme.
