2026 Proton S70 now offered with 1.5L NA engine & CVT, estimated price below RM60k
Proton has announced two new variants for the 2026 Proton S70 sedan, namely the Lite and Prime.
Both variants are powered by a 1.5‑litre i-GT naturally aspirated (NA) engine, paired with a CVT transmission.
Bookings for the new variants are now open, with an estimated selling price of under RM60,000.
Customers who book and register the S70 Lite or Prime before 31 December 2026 will be eligible for exclusive rewards that will be announced later.

According to Proton, the updated S70 offers 10 standout features, including:
- Largest cabin space in its class
- Soft-touch dashboard materials
- Automatic window operation with Anti-Trap function for all windows
- Electronic parking brake (EPB) with Auto Brake Hold
- Remote engine start
- Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto support
In terms of safety, the S70 is equipped with six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, a reverse camera, and a rear seat reminder.
Additionally, it features a Rear Side Radar System (RSRS), which includes:
- Blind spot detection
- Lane change assist
- Rear cross traffic alert
- Door opening warning
- Rear collision warning
