GWM Malaysia has announced an update for the 2026 GWM Tank 500 HEV, introducing new smartphone connectivity features.
Through the GWM Smart App, owners can enhance their ownership experience across three key areas: remote vehicle control, vehicle monitoring, and location-based alerts.

The GWM Tank 500 HEV continues to be powered by a 2.0‑litre turbo engine producing 224 PS and 380 Nm, paired with an electric motor rated at 106 PS and 268 Nm.
Combined output stands at 346 PS and 648 Nm, delivered to a four-wheel-drive system via a nine‑speed automatic transmission.
