Porsche Cayenne Electric previewed in Malaysia – two variants, launching soon

Porsche Cayenne Turbo Electric (30)

Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) has previewed the new Porsche Cayenne Electric SUV, which is slated for launch later this year.

Unlike the petrol and hybrid Cayenne variants, the Cayenne EV will be offered as a fully imported (CBU) unit.

Dimensions

The Porsche Cayenne Electric measures 4,985 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,674 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,023 mm.

Compared to the ICE-powered Cayenne, the EV is 55 mm longer overall and benefits from a 130 mm longer wheelbase, contributing to a more spacious cabin.

Standard cargo space is rated at 781 to 1,588 litres, while the front trunk (frunk) offers an additional 90 litres.

Two Variants

At launch, the Cayenne Electric will be offered in two main variants: the base model and the Turbo.

Specifications are as follows:

Cayenne Electric

  • Single electric motor
  • Output: up to 442 PS and 835 Nm
  • 0–100 km/h acceleration in 4.8 seconds
  • Top speed: 230 km/h
  • Driving range: 642 km

Cayenne Turbo Electric

Both variants are equipped with a 113 kWh battery pack and an 800-volt electrical architecture that enables DC fast charging at up to 400 kW.

This means a 10–80% state-of-charge (SoC) can be achieved in under 16 minutes.

Additionally, the Porsche Cayenne Electric supports wireless inductive charging at up to 11 kW.
