2026 Autobacs Super GT Rd.3 Malaysia postponed
GTA Co. Ltd., and Haro Sports & Entertainment Sdn Bhd has announced the postponement of the 2026 Autobacs Super GT Malaysia Round, which was scheduled to take place in the middle of this year.
This decision was made following a comprehensive assessment of the current global situation, particularly the conflict in the Middle East.
The situation poses significant operational and logistical challenges, especially since Malaysia is the only venue outside of Japan in the current Super GT calendar.
Additionally, the sharp increase in international cargo costs and airfares has affected the ability to host the race at the standards expected by the championship, partners, and fans.
Fahrizal Hassan, Managing Partner of Haro Sports & Entertainment, expressed gratitude to all parties involved, including partners, sponsors, and fans, for their understanding during this challenging situation.
“The race will be back in Malaysia, and when it does, we are committed to making it twice as exciting!” he stated.
Meanwhile, Masaaki Bandoh, President and CEO of GTA, added, “This was a difficult decision to make, but we would like to thank our Japanese fans, entrants, sponsors, and media for their understanding.
We will continue to build a cooperative relationship with HARO Sports & Entertainment and everyone in Malaysia so that Malaysian fans can once again enjoy an exciting SUPER GT,” he said.
The postponement is temporary, and both GTA and HARO Sports reaffirm their commitment to bringing SUPER GT back to Malaysia when conditions allow for a safe, stable, and high-quality event.
Further updates, will be communicated in due course via official channels. GTA and HARO Sports extend their sincere appreciation to all stakeholders for their understanding and continued support.
