MGS5 EV receives five-star rating from ASEAN NCAP
ASEAN NCAP has announced that the MG MGS5 EV SUV has received a five-star rating in its new vehicle assessment tests.
Based on the evaluation, the MGS5 EV achieved an impressive overall score of 92.39 points across the following four categories:
- Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) – 37.90/40.00
- Child Occupant Protection (COP) – 16.99/20.00
- Safety Assistance (SA) – 20.00/20.00
- Motorcycle Safety (MS) – 17.50/20.00
The MGS5 EV is a segment C electric crossover with five seats that offers a range of safety features including seven airbags, ABS, seatbelt reminders, and a rear passenger detector.
Advanced safety features available include Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) for City, Inter-Urban, Pedestrian & Motorcycle scenarios, Blind Spot Detection (BSD), High Beam Assistance (AHB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and Lane Keeping Assistance (LKA).
Malaysians can purchase the MGS5 EV starting at a price of RM107,900 for the Com variant, RM117,900 for the Com Long Range variant, and RM127,900 for the Lux Long Range variant.
