More than 1,000 Isuzu D-Max owners came together to celebrate the 68th Merdeka Day at several locations across the country.

A total of 1,028 Isuzu D-Max vehicles participated in the Isuzu Merdeka Convoy, which started from 39 authorized Isuzu dealer sites to various attractions in their respective states. This event aimed to showcase patriotic spirit and spend quality time with friends and family.

This year’s Isuzu Merdeka Convoy also included activities such as visits to orchards, picnic sites, durian tasting, trips to tourist attractions, island visits, and extreme sports activities.

According to Tomoyuki Yamaguchi, the CEO of Isuzu Malaysia, “The Isuzu Merdeka Convoy serves as a meaningful platform for all our customers to express their patriotic spirit and pride as Malaysians.”

“It is exciting to see people from all walks of life sharing the same love for this country and celebrating this historic moment together,” he stated.

Kenichi Kudo, Chief Operating Officer of Isuzu’s Light Commercial Vehicles Division, added that the Isuzu Merdeka Convoy is also an ideal event to connect customers and explore the beautiful locations in Malaysia using the most fuel-efficient and rugged pickup trucks.

“In addition to providing an opportunity to celebrate the unity of the people in the spirit of Merdeka, the Isuzu Merdeka Convoy also offers owners the thrill of driving the Isuzu D-Max while enjoying the beauty of Malaysia,” Kudo explained.
