2025 Chery 05 facelift officially launched – prices starting from RM116,800

Chery Malaysia has announced the arrival of the facelifted 2025 Chery 05 SUV for the local market, featuring several updates and improvements compared to its predecessor.

The Chery 05 retains the 1.5-liter turbo engine with 156 PS and 230 Nm of torque; however, the original CVT transmission has been replaced with a six-speed DCT gearbox.

Additionally, the Chery 05 is now equipped with three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport.

Another change is the rear suspension which now utilizes a multi-link setup, offering a more comfortable ride, greater stability, and improved handling in corners.

In terms of exterior design, the 05 showcases Chery’s latest design language with a Pixel Diamond front grille, arrow-shaped LED daytime running lights, and sequential turning lights.

Completing the sporty look of the 05 are black 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the Chery 05 features a dual 20.5-inch display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a frameless rearview mirror, six-way adjustable driver’s seat, four-way adjustable front passenger seat, ventilation for the front row, and a cooling storage compartment beneath the center armrest.

Moreover, the 05 comes with an eight-speaker Sony audio system, a 64-color ambient lighting system, and an electrically powered sunroof.

The cargo space measures 442 liters.

Safety features include six airbags, a 540-degree panoramic camera system, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and intelligent headlight assistance.

The Chery 05 is also equipped with 18 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) functionalities, including Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).

Four color options are available: Carbon Black, Phantom Grey, Khaki White, and Blood Stone Red.
